If its the same as the WFO I know niner makes them in silver and red. My friend's new WFO came with silver and he wanted red. He called up niner and they sent him out a red set. I would give them a call and see what they say. Your talking about the red pivot bolts right?

Guys name is peter. $60 for anodizing. He's from my previous love affair money pit hobby which was 1/8 nitro rc racing. Anyway his email is peter@pkselective.com

He does great work and by far he was the cheapest I came across when I started my customization tour.

Good luck

wow guys, thanks for the info. i'll call niner first. silver would be fine but if they only make red ones for the jet9 then maybe i'll pick up a spare set and have them reanodized.

Be carefull re-anodizing the pivot bolts. To change the color the red anodized layer must first be removed, then the now raw part anodized. Both processes take a small amount of material off the fastener. This means you will end up with undersized pivots and the bearings could fit poorly. I would check the diameter of the fastener before and after the re-anodizing process.

For an example. I re-anodized a Thomson seat post. Started as a 27.2mm post, ended at a 27.0mm.

Very good point.

Personally, I think you need to spend more time riding your bike. Rather than looking at it.

I had my RDO pivots anodized with no issues. You can see photos in the "RDO pics" thread.

Re-did all my pivot bolts, rockers and even the e13 bearing cups in black.
No issues at all but find a quality place to have it done.

I posted the guy peters email. Contact him if you want to get this done. 2 day turnaround time, and fairly priced.

PUBCRAWL,

That black looks great, nicely done

Just a quick tangent, what e13 are you running and is your chain running below the bottom guide/roller???

Thanks, here's the original thread the bike was first posted on.
JET BLACK thread

As for the chain guide there is no lower roller it's an E-Thirteen XCX Guide BB mounted.
Also running an E-Thirteen XC Crankset which I anno'd the bearing cups black as well.

Ah, now I see, I was looking at the bottom pivot and mistook it for the chain guide

I took them out as soon as the frame arrived and I traded some wrenching to a guy who works at a place that does anodizing.

it looks better on a black bike. mine is the raw finish. those red bolts make it impossible to fancy it up with any accent colors other than white. i wouldnt mind some green or purple but that would look awful with the reb bolts.

Now I know how to get rid of the red accents on the Niner Orange. Just wish Niner would stock black parts.
