    May buy my first inner

Ok I ride a Canfield Yelli Screamy now and I love it but really want a fs 29er to go along with it.

I found a 2011 Rip9 online for 899 for the frame. Anyone have any input on the 2011 version and how it handles?

Iffy. Lots of people here that size swear by the mediums, and just as many have large. I'm a hair under 5'10" and just went and tried out a couple Rip 9's, assuming I'd need a medium like my MCR9 was, and the large just felt right to me. You might feel differently.

The 11 is a very nice bike & are a lot of fun to ride & $899 is a very good price.

When I had the 09 Rip9 it lifted my riding much more than any bike I had owned before it.

It did however make the easier tracks feel a bit to easy & not as much fun.

The new 13 Rip9 is a nicer frame if you can spend that sort of money on a frame

It is a bit lighter, has approx. 11mm more rear travel & pedals a bit better.

Go large. I'm 5'7" and I find a medium to fit me just fine even with a longer stem!

Had an old RIP before upgrading to a new one. As long as you don't ride a new RIP, I think you'll feel like the old one is awesome. Super fun bike for sure. I paid 1500 for my new frame, and think it was worth every penny. It's much like the old RIP, but a little bit better in every way, which really adds up.
