Crack on the seattube - the only lucky one?

    Dears
few month ago I noticed this crack on the seat tube. Bike bought in February but it's a 2014 frame that was almost unused.
The seatpost was clamped correctly and I'm not such overweight to justify this...I'm the only lucky one?
Frame still in warranty period but purchased not new and before going to the dealer asking for support I'd like to know if I'm the only one or same thing happened to someone else...

    Ouch, that's too bad.

Speaking with a Niner dealer will be your best bet. Niner warranties are not transferable, so by the book the frame wouldn't be covered if not bought new from a dealer, but maybe they'll make an exception.

It does a little, I have brought seat posts in the past that have been marked 31.6 but measure 30.9

    It can be a trap.

    Downtube crack?

    Jet 9 RDO Frame Crack-image.jpg
Just noticed this crack at the top of the downtube on my black and white Jet 9 RDO. I plan on bringing it in to the local Niner dealer this week but I'm not the original owner. Any ideas on if this could just be a paint crack. Is the bike safe to ride?

That looks like a carbon crack to me because it's through th white paint as well as the black clear coat section. That isn't the classic spot where the frames were failing due to manufacture error either - I'd imagine they will say that's from something like a drop off / jump to flat landing.

If it's not making noise, then personally I'd continue to ride it, BUT, I'd also find a carbon repairer to patch it as well. Carbon seems pretty easy to repair, and cheap as long as you don't get the whole frame painted as well. They sand it back, scratch out the crack, then layer carbon and epoxy over it - not to different to repairing fibreglass as a process.

That's assuming niner say no deal on warranty as the non original owner

That's definitely a frame crack! I would be VERY careful riding it.
