How to cable the rear derailleur on a Niner Jet9 RDO better
Hi there:
I have mounted my Niner Jet9 RDO 2012 with the gear cabling outside the main frame and inside chainstay. The outer cable follows the brake hose on the down tube, goes between the BB and the bottom CVA and continues in a soft curve directly into the chain stay, all the way to the rear derailler. I haven't used any ferrules and there's absolutely no signs of damage on either outer cable or chainstay. Shifters and rear der. is XO 9-speed. The shifting is flawless, the best I've ever had.
FWIW: I have a riding buddy who owns a Jet9 RDO 2013. He just did the same trick with XX 10 speed shifters. It works perfectly.

Looks pretty slick. Finishing my build next week. Still not sure how I want to do this.
I have one of those plastic guards for under the downtube and lower pivot. I don't think I could run my cables like that with the guard in place.
Can't run it in front by FD since I'm 2x10.
