AC9 Question about the rear cable housing plug.....
I got my AC9 about a year ago and ran it as single speed. Didn't ride it much in that configuration so last week I ordered the "geared kit" to go with a 1 x 9.
All was good until I tried to remove the rear cable outlet plug. It would not budge.
I finally pulled with enough pressure and it came loose, but also the seat came out with the plug.
It was heavily corroded.
Now I can only run the bike with full length housing and I'm not real keen on that.
Do you think if I sent the frame to niner they could fix it professionally?

PS the bike has never been in rain or mud.

Interesting, there's now an internal aluminum ferrule inside? I had problems with limescale deposits destroying that area last year.

it looks like a ferrul inside is what stuck to my plug. I tried gently pulling it out and just built up more and more pulling pressure until finally what you see in the picture came out. Now there is just an open hole that I have inserted my full length housing thru loosely.
