    2011 Rip9 142mmx12 dropout kit anyone got 1?

I recently built up a New old Stock Rip9- I transferred stuff from another dually 29er with 142x12 rear.
But cant seem to get the rear maxle kit. It has been out of stock everywhere for at least 3 months - C"MON NINER - pleeease

    Hopefully this month. ??
This delay has got me wondering if I should buy a few Niner spares in advance, especially as my frame is already a couple of years old technically speaking
    Eg

Maybe you would have been better posting were you are & asking if anyone has one or knows were to get one.

There will be hundreds of them out there somewhere.

I have 1 but not sure that I want to sell it.

I've contacted over 20 dealers and none of them have any in stock. Niner said they are awaiting a shipment, but still have none in stock. If anyone has one they want to sell let me know.

This makes me really wonder, as fast as bike manufacturers create new frames and change parts specs how readily are parts going to be available for frames that are a few years old?

thinking when they are available I'll be getting two eventually. One as dropout insurance. I think its just a supply glitch as most component like this are generic adaptions rather than 100% specific per model. I wonder if I could find the parts elsewhere and assemble the kit myself. . . .

I just received word from Ralph at Niner that they received 60 kits which covers most (but not all) of their backorders. I have my order with Bikebling and they are working to see how many they were allocated. Fingers crossed, they have mine en route.

Is there a notable difference in your rides with 12x142mm compared to QR 9mm?

Quite a difference. The stiffness and stability makes the rear feel almost like a fatbike.

Is it worthy the 100$ for the new parts?

hope so -My decision was based on already having the 142x12 rear wheel as part of a set off the donor bike.
