touching up scratches and cable rub

i have some pretty bad cable rub and a group of small scratches on the helius cc i have just bought second hand. it has a black anodised paint finish. i would like to touch up the paintwork using a fine paintbrush and some matt black paint (possibly blackboard paint), then protect the frame with some helicopter patches or self-amalgamating tape.

has anyone else attempted this, and could they give me some advice on if it will look ok, and what paint to use?

    cheers, ian
