    Please help with AFR spring rate

    I can hardly wait for my AFR to arrive
    It will have a DHX5 and i'm trying to decide what spring to choose .I weight 73 Kg , roughly 160 lb naked . I don't like to use much preload .
    I wonder if you guys can help me on this .

    depends how much travel you wish to run. you'll no doubt need a few springs to play about with initially. without looking it up you'd probably get away with 300, 350, 400

    I'm about 10lbs heavier than you and was using a 350. Rather than change the spring rate with the travel setting, I set mine up to get about 28% sag in the shortest setting, 33% in the middle, and 35ish % in the longest setting. Short setting for trail & dirt jumps, longer settings for the gnar. YMMV

    Thanks guys . Without any experience i was considering a 400 or 450 ...

    The frame should arrive later this week . Can hardly wait ...
