Travelled back from a business trip to Europe so no riding for me at the weekend. I had a cracking trip to Spain last month so I should really get round to doing a write up and post a couple of photos.

We had a great run last night at a local hill in NE Scotland. The sun was out, it was 24deg and barely a breath of wind. The trails were bone dry, slightly loose and marbley in places and fun as hell to ride. No action photos I'm afraid as we tend not to stop once we point down. There's one long climb to the top which is followed by a couple of sharp rocky descents, a traverse between two of the peaks then finishing with another rocky section and then a fast flowy bit through the trees back to the car park. Bliss!

Another cracking evening ride in warm sunny conditions. Considering the monsoonal rains we've been getting recently we were blessed last night. No action shots so I'll keep using this thread rather than the Nicolai's in Action one. This hill isn't particularly high at 590m but the climb is still quite tough. You're then rewarded with a cracking descent to finish the ride.

Should get some on eht Ruthin Merida in September too, and possible the Loire VAlley when I head out there with the other half

I bumped into ianpinder at the top of a mountain in the Port Du Soleil... never met him before but saw a lovely new Helius ST leaned up at the top of a lift and had to oooooogle. Cue 15 mins of Nicolai related chat boring all our friends senseless!

Here is a pic of me in chatel

and just round the corner from where I met Ian on the les get slopestyle run

Not non my nic unfortunately. My buddy on the chatel road gap...

Very smooth landing but braking for the next corner is a hit or miss affair!

On a beautiful Welsh morning a group of us headed up to Llandegla and thought what the hell we'll do the Masts Route & Offas Dyke. Loverly weather as you can see, driving rain, fog, side or head wind, never a tail wind and plenty of mud, I love the British summer

The whole group/gang, 2 hard tail riders, one lad on a Trek EX9 and me (taking the pic) Helius CC in foreground

Similar looking conditions to our ride yesterday in Aberdeenshire. We had planned to do Ben Macdui but decided to stay lower down due to the weather. It was warm and wet and not very summery but we still had fun.

I had finally talked myself into doing the chatel road gap, but got to the top of chatel and lift had been struck by thunder the previous day and was not working. it was our final day so i could'nt do it.

It would of been interesting to see if my brakes could stop me before the corner. did you do the new (this year)drop in the park at the bottom? very similar to the road gap but no corner after.

Is that the one in the mini bike park by the pump track at the bottom of the lift.. yea we did that one.. but of a heavy landing i felt.. has a lovely run in with lots of little tables... pop and flow but the larger road gap is smoother. its on the vid im working on at the mo.. il post up when its done.

Dipper is of course correct That is my Nukey I am holding up

Yetiman71 took a plastic butter knife to a gun fight with the innevitable results

The body armour saved it from being too painfull... but he should have taken the correct tool for the job... his NICOLAI

Sheer stupidity and carelessness . However, I went down the same trail last month on the BIG bike without any issues. It definitely helps to have the right tool for the job.

It was a good few weeks ago - before Spain. The Nicolai was probably not out of hibernation yet... and you had it's Fox forks on the PA over the winter

That was my first time down that route... the talk before we set off of Paddy destroying his full facer and slicing his face open was confidence inspiring

Hardtail not the ideal choice of weapon, i've been down it a few times now and it certainly deserves respect

    Karve, love your pics

I went for a ride around the Gower last Saturday, can spot the low cloud theme with the other Welsh pics?
