    Nicolai Argon FR

    Hi,

this is my first posting on this message board. I am from Germany and this is my first Nicolai.

    Nicolai Argon FR Rohloff XL
    Pike MP-Tuning
    Rohloff
    Frank Industries Nugget-Brakes
    Syntace cockpit and seat-clamp
    Reset Racing Headset / Titan-Alu
    Reset Racing Titan BottomBracket
Mavic 721 and Schwalbe Big Betty

    Weight is about 15kg.

I am 195cm and the geometry fits perfectly and the frame is super stiff. I have just got 4 ride days with my new bike and it feels fantastic.

    Regards
    Thomas

Oh, thank you for that welcoming,

the brake system is actually really unknown. It is called Frank Industries, modell Nugget. Completely CNC-manufactured, all anodized colours available - gold and anodized red are the usual colours at the moment.
    www.f-i.net

Weight for this 4-pistons brake set is 340 gr for the Front Brake/ 90mm Goodridge Hose/ without adapter, screws and pads
Rear brake is 370gr for the same system with 150mm hose /pads, isolators and some hardware for the pads are about 90gr.

Pads fit the Hope Mini size - 4 pads each brake ! I have got Galfer pads and some other pads are in development.

You can run the system with different sized rotors without changing the main adapter - it as an radial system as seen on motor bikes. I have got 210 front and 190 rear.

In a few weeks there will be the Franki - a 2 piston system / just the half of the nugget with the same features.

I have just done a few rides - so i cannot give a real review of the brake. I have riden a GustavM before and this system is much more relieable and more powerful to what the engineer of Frank Industries has told me....... in a few days and at least after some alpine-riding in the summer i can give a real review.

Here some more pics of the brake

    The Argon looks great.
I was thinking of getting one for myself but then decided to go for a German steel frame.
Oh well, maybe next time when I am looking for a HT...

Awesome ride Tommek, how are you finding the Rohloff? I had a dream of an ST with a Rohloff, then I was woken up
