Nicolai AC 650b Pinion..Build
Finally after 8 months UPS delivered my new AC..

Inside the box was this
AC 650b Pinion in Large,ANO Black,red extras,Stealth routing.
135mmx12mm rear end.
2013 style frame uses a 215x63mm shock.

Could you measure the distance between center of rear axle and chainstay bridge? I wonder what they have for tire clearance on stock 650b.
I thought about waiting for Pinion last year, and then decided not to spend money. Kinda regret it now - as much as I like my Helius... Also regret having it painted (in color my wife and daughter picked). Should have anodized it..

Seems plenty of clearance on 2.35x650b Nobby Nics.
Has at least 1/2" clearance all around

Avid X0 trail brakes,200mm front,180mm rear

Used a single speed spacer kit to align it all.
BOR 135mmx12mm wheel...

X0 Trail brake lever,ESI grip and a RH Reverb remote mounted on the left under the bars.

RH side has cut down ESI grip and Pinion 18 speed shifter.
The cable for the Pinion is a single cable,not 2 seperate cables.It wraps around at the gearbox end and has 2 clamping blocks at the shifter end to attach the wnds.

Gearbox with gear shift cover on.

Built up.
Waiting for a part from Nicolai to complete(LH Crank arm),was supplied with two rights fitted...
Weight is 31.5lbs
Running a Reverb and Nobby Nics 2.35x650b

Beautiful. My buddy has a Helius AM 29er custom... I'm even more in love with this. Shakes my bike buying plans for the year to the core.

Crank Arm arrived this morning..
Nice little 22 miler this afternoon.
Gearbox feels amazing,bike is very quiet,almost sounds belt driven.
No Problems,Mud clearance is amazing,Running Nobby Nic 2.35.
Bike seems to ride very well,feels as fun and agile as my 26" AC.
Need to do a few more hours to bed the forks and shock in.
