    New AFR build!

Tore down my current AFR tonight and packing it up to send off to a new owner. It's been a sick ride for the past couple months but I was craving some custom tweaking. The new rig is longer, slacker, lower and more aggro for the big lines than the out going ride.

Unfortunately, it's night here and I just can't bear to post a crappy pic from under the indoor lighting in my garage. We'll just have to wait until tomorrow. Big thanks to John @ Bike Medics for great customer service and Vincent @ Nicolai for getting this one to me in time to leave on my Whistler trip tomorrow. In the mean time here's a few of my favorite pics of the old AFR that has now been retired. Pics of the new ride tomorrow -

    Brand new -

Some of the first jumps I hit -

Jackson trails never get old -

    (Apologies to the new owner)

Ok, here it is. Same colors so at first glance might look like the same bike.

    Seat tube shortened to 406mm
    HTA slackened to 65 deg
Short, 8.5 x 2.5 shock for 1/4 BB drop and .5 deg slacker HTA
The two HTA tweaks net a 64.5 deg HTA
Wheelbase is a bit longer and the bike has more of a mini-DH feel now

Swapped out a few parts since my initial build. ESI chunky grips replace the Gravity lock-on's, Answer Pro-taper bars replace the Chromag Fubars OSX, 26 Rally Ti Pedals replace chromo prerunners. Full build tips the scale at 35.7lbs at the moment, steel spring, deemax wheels and all...

Ride reports to follow, likely breaking in on the Shore or at Whistler in the next few days.
