Thanks Toni! It sure it a sweeeeet rig. I wish I could keep it.

BTW, seems as though my ad was a bit "aggressive." I apologize if I offended anyone.
I will be replacing it with a more "calm" version ASAP

    Thanks

Boooonneeee, best of luck selling this frame, it will be a good purchase for someone whom wants a straight as an arrow, stiffer than a honeymooners chopper frame....

    Wish it was a Large.....

Well disagree there a little.... A Nicloai frame dare I say it is the making of a great bike. I just love how dialed and how straight and inline the frame is, I know I may sound biased, dont mean it that way though.... The Nicolai's rock.....

The exchange rate will not be helping sales in the US of A though.....

But has Err mentions, that frame is a steal price and will make someone a truly happy camper, well in fact, as happy as a pig in sh!t....

thanks man, Its all cause of Err though. i had ridden his helius and ufo and he told me about this one, so its cause of him
The Frame is on the truck out for delivery. there should be a big box when i get home from work today!!!!!
still a little worried about the short top tube but hopefully it will work out. i might be investing in a 65mm stem and a setback seatpost. i really like my 50mm though...we'll see what happens.

Sweet, the dude that Err is has hooked me up with a few Nicolai's..... All round total good guy...

Well hope the box is there

I am happy with my 65mm Sunline stem on the Helius FR, hope is suits you though... Be easy to throw it around for sure, as I find I can having a L frame and being 6'3.....

Are you going to build it up straight away?

Well I arrived safe to Barcelona... They didnt miss place my baggage.... So out of 20 flights since January through London, my baggage has been lost delayed 18 times....

So this time, I checked it through to London from LA, picked it up, walked to the other terminal and re checked it in to Barcelona, so all good, have Nicolai in my room... Yeah ha...

Sorry to get off track, had to share my stoke of getting to hear without baggage delays

I guess it would not be too much of a problem to run 2 stems depending on your ride of the day... Run a 65mm and set back post for big pedal rides and for shreading and minimum pedaling, go with a short and straight post...

ok changed, man that took me a good 15 minutes. i couldn't remember how.

ride report to come. it will hopefully be rideable tomorrow, and mostly done by mid next week. i can never say completely done cause i always change stuff around.
Just waiting on the 12mm conversion to my hope hub which should come in today, i will pick up a new front der, seatclamp, and cable housing tonight and then my new stem will be here next week.
got to go to Err's house to grab my der hanger too.

so i had to ride my brothers ellsworth joker today. oh well riding is riding, it would have been more fun on the nicolai.
oh and the thing is looking sexy!!!! definately my sexiest build yet.

man i wish i could have been there, i didn't get the parts in for the nicolai anyway so i wouldn't have had a bike unless i put the BR back together.
plus sara shipped off early sunday morning for the next 2 weeks so we biked bobsled and got some mexican on sat.
ill be in next time. im seeing what i can do for the moab trip, what days were you going again?

oh yeah, you going to be available to help build anytime this week? wed or thurs maybe? just some fine tuning stuff.

    just a little update.
it is built and rippin, i need to get some pictures up but i want to include some action ones with it.
    Boone,
they way you sent it, Err measured some stuff and with the 66 at 180 it has a 13.4 inch BB and a 63 3/4 degree headangle. that is crazy!!! im going to slide the shuttle down to the lowest and see what that does. Err was saying that should get it to 13.75 bb and between 65 and 66 HA.
any comments on that? any other set up suggestions for me? i have no idea what im doing with all of these adjustments.
oh and just a tease for you guys until i post it
the bike currently weighs 36.2 pounds

    HOLY CRAP!!!

    That HA is INSANE!
I would suggest putting the shock shuttle all the way in the lowest point that it will fit.
Meaning, move it towards the BB. That shuttle should move a good inch or so.
That should give you what the Nicolai Web page described for geo numbers; almost exactly what Err said.
I remember the BB being low but I guess I never measured the HA.

That weight is hella nice though eh?

Hit me up via email if you want to chat more about it. I wanna make sure everything comes out right for ya!

don't worry man, i love the bike. it def rides better then the BR. it pedals better and corners a little better (even with the insane HA). im going to play with it tonight. im going to run it at its most travel (which i think is 7.2 if my calculations are right).

as for the weight. it kind of blew me and Err away. it feels like 38 when you pick it up but it was 36 on a bathroom scale and 36.2 on Err's digital scale so it must be.
i am going to get some more ride time tomorrow and thurs. ill get pics on sat when my wife gets home.
