    Ion 18 ain't that heavy!

Was building wellys new ion 18 today so took the chance to weigh it alongside his afr

Both small frames. Ion raw and afr painted. No shock

    Ion 18 3520grams
    Afr 3800 grams

Not bad at all. So much for the speculation(mainly by me) that the ion was going to be heavier. Based on nics measured weight with a CCDB that was how it was looking.

On a pedal down the road it certainly feels like a genuine afr replacement as well.

    woohoo!

That's pretty encouraging. Wasn't the AFR supposed be lighter than 3.8kg though? Guess it doesn't really matter as the Ion 18 looks awesome.

BTW do you still have that 29er AC for sale?

initial feedback is that it climbs as well as the afr but corners better. i guess due to the lower BB. sounds good though

yeah i could be tempted to sell it. not in any rush but id need to get a new one ordered up in time for my first event(which is now looking like may). Cant tempt you with a large AM? its an early one so probably more comparable to the current AC than the current AM. head angle wise anyway

You mean TLR's AM? Would be the same as the one I already have though.
