    What do you think?

Fork: Totem Solo Air or Coil?
    Shock: CCDB?
Wheels: DT1750 or Mavic 721/DT5.1 rims on Hope/Hadley hubs?
    Brakes: Formula Ones?
    Pedals: Burgtec, NC17 or Straitline?
Tyres: Schwalbe Big Betty front/Nobby Nic rear?
Crank: XTR dual with Wicked Racin bash?
    Front mech: Wicked Racin?
Rear mech: Sram XO short or medium cage?
    Bar: Burgtec
    Shifters: Sram
    Saddle: SDG Bel Air?
Post: Thompson 30mm straight? Can anybody recommend a 30mm layback seat post since Thompson do not make one this size?

    Colours: with red levers?

    Thanks

    Front mech: Wicked Racin?
Rear mech: Sram XO short or medium cage? XO Short Cage

Colours: with red levers? If going to go coloured levers, would go with a plain frame colour, or go a funky frame paint job with all black components

Those spokes are the shizz!! Good call Whafester.

I might also just go with the very simple Gamut chain guide too. Super easy to install and about this lightest thing on the market. It will take a hella beating fo sho!

Short cage rear mech if only 1 ring up front

    Lookin good bro.

Good call..... I am all for short cage with a dual ring up front, medium cage for a triple ring upfront......

And yes the Gamut is a great guide.......

Whafe pretty much nailed the updates.

I just built a fun DH wheelset for my self with:
    I9 J-hook hubs, polished
    Sapim CX-Ray spokes, polished stainless
    ex823 rims, black

I'd def go Gamut/Stinger for your bashguard/guide combo.

Short cage will work pefectly on the Helius-ST

I haven't tried the Formula Ones but they look promising. I have considerable positive experience with Hope M4's and Moto V2's along with Magura Lousie BAT's. I'm optimistic that you'll like the Formula Ones though.

Thanks guys for all the useful info. I will of course post the build when its completed. Gone for light blue with red levers and red decals, like the picture of the FR on the Nicolai website. What do you think?
