    Hammerschmidt on Helius AC

Long time lurker coming out of the cupboard.

I have this set up on my BB for the ISCG tabs

I was hoping to fit a Hammerschmidt crank set to it however when I fit the backing plate it doesn't clear the adapter.

I would need to remove this..

Any other options apart from not fitting it?

    Many Thanks

    EDIT

    found this on Nicolai site

Almost all NICOLAI frames are available with adapters to mount Shift guides, Chain guards, or Hammerschmidt® internal gear cranks. For models where chain-guards are mandatory or where the use of Hammerschmidt® cranks makes sense we offer mounting adapters as a surcharge-free option. We offer 3 different kinds of adapters. The ISCG 03 and 05 type is fixed with a bolt between a weld-on part at the frame and the chain-guard. The slotted holes enable further positioning as the adjustability of chain-guards is often limited. The ISCG adapters are not compatible with Hammerschmidt. We offer a special weld-on adapter to mount the Hammerschmidt directly onto the frame. This weld-on Hammerschmidt adapter on the other hand is ISCG 03 compatible and can be used for chain-guards.

My Old AC had Hammerscmidt iscg, was completely different to the one shown.
Is a fixed mount that has been faced as the hammerschmidt needs perfect alignment.

I have what I have, I'm looking for a possible work around to fit a HS.

When I bought the frame I did ask if it had ISCG 05 tabs, which it does but I didn't envisage that it wouldn't be suitable for the HS, lesson learnt there.

So anyone any idea's or suggestions other than buying a new frame?

HS compatible tabs are a much stronger welded on affair. in theory those mounts above are not strong enough for the HS. im not entirely sure why but i guess its to do with the torque applied when in overdrive. although considering the HS itself is only held on by 3 small allen screws cant see why it would matter!

Excellent job. I known the guys at Nicolai are very busy at the moment getting sorted for Eurobike. No excuse, but probably the case.
