    FR front shock mount

Currently running my FR with a ccdb on back and 180 float on the front, am thinking about dropping the front to 170 and running the front shock mount one bolt forward. I know someone has done this on here and was just curious of thoughts before i do it.

Thought process is it'll drop the bb, keep head angle slack and slacken the seat angle for climbs.

Am only running a 2.25 crossmark on the back but do change to 2.35 Roller in the winter so wondering if there'd be any clearance issues?

    cheers

Why would you want to slacken the seat angle for climbing?

Not sure about the clearance. Best try it to see

just to be sat more over the back wheel, The FR seat tube is pretty much straight up so you end up sat quite far forward.

I can move mine as far forward as in the pic below without clearance issues, running a 2.35 Highroller. Have a couple of mm left. A 2.7 Minion just scrapes the seattube. Why not keep the float at 180 to slacken the head angle a bit more?

Cheers Boozzz, knew somone on here had done it how does it ride like that?

If i kept the forks at 180 and moved the shock mount then it would be UBER slack.

Wonder if Nicolai would knock me up a custom shock mount?

It feels a bit more planted going downhill steeply, but I wish I could slacken it out even more. I'm running 180mm Totems btw, and the headangle sits just above 65 degrees. I'm thinking of ordering one of those Works Components headsets to take 1.5 degrees off.
