For 2 chainring setup please ... thanks ...
Anyone used a Blackspire BB mount chain guide before? I can forsee some adjustments needed once in awhile as the chain guide rotates down or is the BB mount secure enough?
Should have ordered my frame with ISCG tabs eh? Oh well ... hindsight ...
I'm using an E-Thirteen DRS with a Gamut bashring that's BB mounted and never had to adjust it. Mind you I wouldn't recommend it as the roller has two small bearings which are prone to seizing plus the roller itself is very soft, wears quickly and causes drag against the side plates.
Never tried the Blackspire but I wouldn't be concerned about a BB mount.
the blackspire works well. dont worry about it rotating down. between rockshitting it from below and your chainstay hitting it from above it'll stay roughly on the right place!
Was thinking of installing the Stinger as my chain kept falling off the middle ring when I was at Coed y Brenin last week.
If decide to go ahead, then I can use a bash ring to replace my largest chainring and I presume I will need to adjust by front derailleur upper limit to stop and not go beyond the middle ring? And I can also lower the FD a tad just so that I can use more of the cogs on the cassette when I am on the granny??? (I know I can get the ratio pretty close from the middlering ... but you know ... ) Currently when I am on the granny and if the chain is at the 4th largest cog, the chain touches the bottom plate of the derailleur guide ... And I presume I can also shorten the chain???

Cheers for any comments ...[/QUOTE
All sounds spot on however be careful lowering the front mech. It still needs to clear the swing arm under compression. Also, the chain may rub the bottom plate when on a work stand but once you're sitting on it, it should be fine. Another also, the mech is shaped to help lift and drop the chain when set at the correct height. Lowering it can give more grief than it's worth! You'll get away with a small drop though.
I'm about to buy a Helius AM frame with the ISCG 03 adapter...I would like to mount the blackspire stinger, i have it in another bike and works fine ... Does anyone have this and know if there are some problems to put this chainguide?I am afraid that the plate where put the bolts touch the rearend...
thanks for eventual answers..
