Ian-Dont let the shop rip you off for bearing fitting,If they quote silly amounts for labour,Send them to me i will fit the bearings. The one problem with Industry Nine bearings is that one of them is not a standard size,I think I9 have custom centreless ground them 0.5mm undersize on the O/D.All I9 bearings are Abec 5 or 7.
They are a doddle to do mate,Did mine 4 times in the few years i had them.

Sheesh, this is an interesting one... Are the bearings quoted made of gold?

I didn't even notice any grittyness.

I might just say he can have his money back, he just has to wait until i can get to a bank, and considering i'm leaving for skiing on wednesday/thursday it won't be until january.

By that point you'll have been accused of all sorts, probably to blame for the student protests, the sate of the economy and the lack of salt for gritting roads

You can buy most of the bearings seperately from the importer.
I would say its probably only the outer ones,so maybe only four bearings needed.

Full set is 68.72 + postage.

offer him a full refund. I've had this a few times with 2nd hand gear. Often theyre just trying it on. a full refund offer usually does the trick.

i recently sold a motorbike part on ebay. the guy realised he didnt have a clue how to fit it and wanted me to pay for cost of fitting as i'd provided no instructions!

another clown, bought a set of duraace calipers for 15. they were a bit scruffy but worked perfectly well and I provided big pictures. part of the long irate letter i recieved included - "these are not up to the high standard I'd expect for my sunday bike".......They were 15!!!!!!!. You want new, buy new! Of course paypal didnt see it that way and refunded them anyway!
