    Argon FR

    Hi all,

Does anyone know what the rear dropout options are for a Nicolai Argon FR. I was thinking 12mm truaxle... Or the standard QR dropout.

Another question: Any Argon Fr's (pictures) here on the board?

    Thanks in advance,

    W

There's some Argon FR pics in the Nicolai Hardtails thread:
    Nicolai Hardtails...

Searching for Argon should also reveal something:

Nicolai's data sheet for Argon FR does not go into those details but complete bikes seem to be specced with XT and Hope hubs.... I suppose they can do anything you want, If you want to pay for a custom solution...

The Argon FR has sliding dropouts. To date it has been QR only.

thanks for the reply's. The problem was indeed that the data sheet doesnt say anything about the options.

I was just wondering if 12mm truaxle would be possible as a custom option. And at what kind of price..

Whats the point of sliding dropouts anyway? Only for singlespeed??

Guess so. Many also run their Argon FRs with a Rohloff Hub.

Sliding dropouts are good for Rohloff hubs too. There's many Nicolais with Rohloff.

Also, many like to fine tune bike handling by adjusting chain stay length.
