Los Gatos High has a mt bike team.
The kid pictured is Pierre, very fast and has skills. He often can be seen flying around Demo, doing 2 to 4 loops. His parents will drive him there and hangout, or come back and get him at a set time. He's very dedicated, as are his parents. He also works in a shop, I think in Cupertino or somewhere there abouts. Great job Pierre, and your parents also.

    like this quote...

``Not everybody is a football player, not everybody is a basketball player,'' Scotts Valley Athletic Director Louie Walters said. ``The more sports we can offer, the better it is for everybody.''

I really regret not having this sport/club in high school I guess I was stuck with football and swimming :mad2:

Right on, Pierre! He and Menso...those guys school us on every ride.

Harbor High in Santa Cruz has a mountain bike team. They represented at the Roam premiere and were cracking me up, making jokes during the raffle. Cool kids.

By leaps and bounds, the most exciting racing to watch are the High School series races.

We caught the NorCal HS Series two years in a row at CCCX and I can't tell you how fun and inspiring it is to watch these kids duke it out.

They looked like they were having such a good time...didn't matter if they were battling for 2nd place, or 22nd place. Truly reminiscent of the golden days of MTBR racing.

    Go LG Wildcats!

Last year Pierre, along with his mom Christina, and father Bertrand, won all kinds of prizes during the Volunteer Madness challenge sponsored by Trailworkers.com. That family has moved a ton of dirt working on the trails. We love them all in Soquel Forest!

You can check out some of his projects by clicking through the Trailworkers.com sitehere.
