So this got started in the Stazio thread and I want to move it here.
CSU won the their bid to host collegiate road nats this spring. The race is being held May 9-11. All the best collegiate teams in the nation are brining their top racers. Anywhere from 4-12 male and female racers per team. Colorado had three schools in the top 10 last year at nats and CSU had a male rider win the criterium. The last three years the race was held in Kansas and now they get to race on some real hills here in Colorado. I am excited for the road race cause its gonna go up stadium hill (they racers would be better off if we just kicked them in the stomach ), then south to Masonville, then back north via the resevior and the dams, over bingham hill, then back south to the stadium. I think the other colleges are going to be love the road course because of the scenery around the resevior and the challenge of racing up and down those hills.
I personally am excited cause after being a member of the CSU team for 4 years I get to see them host nationals right before I graduate.
