    Boggs Weather

Current forecast (for Clearlake) calls for

    Tuesday 80% chance of rain
    Wed 70%
    Th 60%
    Fri 50%
    Sat 30%
    Sunday 10%

I wonder if that's going to be enough to rain it out.

2 seasons ago the NorCal Boggs race was cancelled, the only race cancelled in the history of the League. 6 inches of rain on the preceding two days on top of a wet week was just two much for the course, the riders, and the vehicles at the venue.

Current forecast is no rain Sat or Sun. Boggs is great when wet anyway because of the thick layer of pine needles. It will be great conditions for racing this weekend. It would be lame to move it.

I've yet to see NorCal folk make a lame decision in this regard.

Muddy mess for pre ride, but the weather was nice. Lots of bike cleaning to get things turned around for race day. It dried out a little by sunday. I think the varsity boys had a pretty good run. But from what I hear there was one climb that was described as an "sticky muddy river". Warmed up a lot on Sunday; shorts and shirtsleeves.

Sounds about right. There is s chute on the backside of about 35 steep yards deep in the trees. I'm betting that was the messy climb.

Boggs is tricky when it starts to warm. It is the race wher so many are fooled by surprising heat.
    I don't rattle.
