    thanks

    Thanks for the info!

I posted on both & also posted on every craigslist in MN already.

I did report it to the police the day it was stolen & I've even contacted almost all the pawn shops in MN. I guess now I just sit & wait...

Being it's a BMX Dirt Jump "DJ" bike this would be another good place to post where it get's allot of activity http://forums.mtbr.com/urban-dj-park/

Their have been some good bike stolen and recovery stories on these forums. Sometimes the forum does a better job than the police in finding because of the networking. Usually what happens if it gets found is for the owner to pull a sting type operation and get the bike back on their own. Getting the police involved once you find it means they need to get a search warrant and fallow the laws which can take time, this depends on State laws also.

    thanks again!

Thanks I will post there as well. I really have no idea what the bike is "made" for, I just bought the one my son picked.
I wish we could get some kind of information about it but nothing so far. Around here (small hick town) it should be easier to find with so many people keeping an eye out.
But then they may be hiding it better because of that. Or they just ditched it somewhere like the cops say happens most here.

Thanks for all your help! It is really sweet to help a stranger!

Hang in their and be patient, I know easier said than done. A close friend of mine has his bike stolen so he emailed all his friends to pass the word on and posted here on the forums. We all figured it was striped and gone till 3 weeks latter someone saw a bike on PinkBike for sale with some of his parts. Word spread and the person was narrowed down to a name then location. Long story short he got his bike back and worked a deal out with the kids parents,

Here is a spec sheet with a picture of your sons bike if you need any information about the components. http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...l+X0&Type=bike

Oh ya forgot to mention Haro had something like 30 bikes stolen in Las Vegas police started rounding up the bikes about 4 months later.

Helping others is what a forum like this is about keep us posted.
