    Taconic Hereford 909 Trails
    909 Bikers
I am curious about this park and rode the western section a few years ago remembering the Blue along the Ridge was a nice ride but there were a lot of double track logging roads as well... :-(

Below is a list of Trails (taken off the Bikerag map)
I am trying to determine which of these trails are jeep roads, which are double tack (excessively wide) and which are nice single track.

Could you fill in the blanks and let me know which are jeep roads, etc.? Any description of any trail would be helpful as well...
    THANKS

You've got the double tracks listed, some of the Sno-Mo is singletrack

ST to doubletrack is about 5 to 1, with 20+ miles of ST

There is an unmarked popular trail inside the Horseshoe -"Beaver"

And the Skidder & Buck have merged to one singletrack, the trailheads are the same as "Buck". The next map will show the trail name as "Timbuktu"

Also note the trail marked with blue discs you mention was probably "Bykhed" -there are about 5 other blue trails because DEC only uses 3 colored discs for now

Motorized vehicles are only allowed on about 3 miles of road

Thanks for the info! Your response is very helpful.
I will PM you for more details...

It's a nice spot - but pretty big unless you know the trails well I am sure...

It's easy to link consecutive trails together with very little doubletrack, usually the start of the next trail is right across the road from the one you're finishing. 909 is one of the best designed riding destinations around here in that regard.
