    Straying off the Greenbelt

Came down to LI to visit family for Easter and brought the SS so I could hit Stillwell from Jericho Tpke and get a ride in. gorgeous day! Still felt like riding after I got back to the car so I figured I'd ride down to Bethpage and back for the first time in about 12 years. Got all screwed up when I crossed Washington Ave and followed some blue dot trail which wound up taking me between peoples backyards and ended on Round Swamp Rd by Tree & Hill court or something to that effect. Found out later I did something called the Parkway Tower Loop. I'll get back to Bethpage one of these years. Still got a nice ride in- there's some fast flowy stuff in there!

The blue dot trail goes through Manetto Hills Preserve but you must have missed the new single track in there marked with white triangles. About three miles worth.

The blue dot is a spur trail that eventually brings you to West Hills Park.

There will be lots of construction going on this year due to a paved path extension project.
