Good job! Please pick me a NY winner!

This Saturday, 6/16/12, Top Cat and I are road tripping to your great state of NY...

...looking to ride trails within a 3 hour drive from NEPA, Central NY area. "Singletrack Single Speed" friendly would be a big plus!

I was at Stewart recently so that's off my list.

Any recommendos on grub an added plus!

    Thanks for your help!

The best of New York riding is in Vermont.

But seriously, the SMBA trails in Saratoga are worth a visit with plenty of food/drink opportunities right in town.

I heard these trails (SMBA) were somewhat limited, only 5 or 6 miles. True?

Untrue. We have about 18 total miles of trail.

Those 18 miles feel like 30 when you're done!
I'd hit it, but I bruise like a peach.

The most I've done there is 12 miles and it took twice as long as the same amount on any other trails in the area. Very challenging terrain that will improve your skills!

    Good job!

Well we ended up riding the Pine Creek trail in PA...

...my old friend Topcat just got his Muck 3 weeks ago and he's getting it dialed in as well as himself...

...but that's OK, all of you have posted many options and we plan to get to more than a few of them, might even drag a few more Pa riders with us.

Thanks for your time and comments, much appreciated.

I was just in ellicottville this past weekend doing the mudslide run. I saw a few bikers out there too and have heard they have some pretty old trails. This is western new York though and not so much central ny.
