Anyone ever bike the entire Northville-Placid trail in the 'dacks? My girlfriend and I hiked a 30-something mile portion from Long Lake to Lake Placid and it seemed well-suited for the potential bike trip with pleanty of lean-to's and not too too crazy technical on most of the trail, so toting a pack might not be entirely too difficult.
No MTB in designated Wilderness Areas. Which is pretty much all of the NLPT. Silver Lake Wilderness (covers from Benson to Piseco), West Canada Lakes Wilderness.. etc... If there was a way to get a corridor from Pillsbury Lake Trailhead to Wakely Dam (which is the NLP through West Canada Lakes Wilderness Area) that would open up the Southern park to the Moose River Plains , over to Inlet and into the Independence Wild Forest... Number 4 road etc..
