    Ellicotville & Holiday Valley

Any suggestions for a group of riders of new and experienced riders. Looking for moderate terrain that a newbie can handle around the Ellictoville Area.

Check out WNYMBA for more info on the Eville trails: WNYMBA Get a map at Ellicottville Bike Shop. If Dennis is there, he'll show you a good loop that matches your ability. The most moderate trails are probably the ones nearest the top of McCarthy Hill: Race Loop, Rain Trail, Mesa, Sidewinder, Dead Dog, and Big Merlin are all excellent trails. The terrain varies from tight and twisty, to open and flowy, with a good mix of roots and some log overs. The farther down the hill you go, the more technical the trails become; i.e., the Pale Ale Trails, Rim Trail, and Bent Rim Trail are more advanced. Have fun! Eville has some sweet singletrack!
