The JORBA Paydirt committee would like to thank all volunteers for their dedication and volunteer hours working on the trails in 2011. Heavy snows, rains and a major hurricane in 2011 kept crews quite busy. I am proud to report that most parks were back to normal within a few weeks of hurricane Irene, thanks to JORBA volunteers. Annual Paydirt volunteers logged over 5700 hours in trail work in 2011. 5700 hours of volunteer labor is valued by park managers at $131,100. We would like to thank the Campmor H2H Series and ACD Security Team Competition for its support of the Paydirt program. For more about the series and team competition: H2H Race - Home
We would also like to thank Jorba Chapter Leaders, Crew Chiefs and Executive Committee, who have worked behind the scenes, planning and communicating with land managers, securing grants, purchasing tools and spreading the good word. These volunteers spend thousands of hours on top of their Paydirt hours each year making sure everything behind the scenes gets done to ensure a great mountain bike experience for us all.
Looking forward to a great 2012!
