The New trail is david Orton. We gave it a shot the other day. The trails has some really great down hills

But in my humble opinion lacks the flow consistant with GR.

Reminds me of the 3 new additions to Rocky Point

    Go........enjoy..........and ride on!

    Great addition............ EH!

Its an additional trail and I would like to THANK THE VOLUNTEERS!
And also the town , county and state. Without their efforts to promote healthy activities we would have nothing

What does mlp have to do with this thread?

Omg lumpy I was wondering where you went. The palm coast is beautiful! I didn't realize that a trail was local to that area. When down that way I have ridden Ft Pierce, Melbourne, Santos, paisley preserve, jungle trail and various other trails on the east coast. I have to say that omba does a great job and this should be an example on how clubs should operate! Hopefully I will be down your way soon and when I do I will pm you and maybe we can meet up

I'm from cocoa beach, we had a lot of riding there, but slowly commercialism crept in. I was there last year and it looked like most of the trails were now apartments.

Rumor has it that the Long Island area has about 160 miles of amazing, well maintained single track. Pretty much a trail is only a 10 or 15 minute ride from where ever you are.

    Pretty amazing!

That's amazing! Well maintained is questionable............. What's amazing is I have been trail riding "trails since the seventies" and as an active enthusiast I have always maintained the trails. Also in an attempt I have tried to unite the community with events that I have started such ads spartyfesy (which..... With my efforts has blossomed into long islands FTF) I have been a trail steward and trail patrol. With the efforts of you and Liam as well as your board of directors and your inner circle the club you claim who does a great job maintaining the trail...... The politics and favoritism has driven me away. Now after sending my membership back I now maintain the trails I wish under the radar. Call me rogue, but it's because of me and my efforts RP has been so well trimmed the last few years. This has been because of me not climb . It would also seem that I would be a much better Ali, but for some strange reason ( power drunk or jealousy, greed, I don't drink "stout" or what ever) you guys choose to chase me away and bare in mind that all my efforts with climb were done while trying to deal with my wife's suicide, my daughters issues as well as other issues....adios and have a nice day!

And you already made a major modification to a earlier post that was full of nastiness.

Listen pal. The way you roasted me for no reason at the climb forum.... Your part of the problem! This has made me bitter towards you and also the crap Liam posted and said (Liam as a patroller calling me a piece of **** in front of my peers)has made me bitter towards him and with the other stuff bitter towards climb. As I said above.... I would better as an Ali but it's your choice to keep digging at me........ I tried to make amends and I am done........Yeah have a nice day

In response to my modified post. It was in response to a nasty post from stump who knocked the efforts of 2 members who modified a trail section (unrelated to this topic) so it would be able to sustain longevity referring to them as "children with a riffle". He "modified his post" in his typical post-delete-retreat behavior. You tell me who is nasty pal!

Dude..... live up to it. I got the update because I was subscribed to this thread. If you would like I can repost it? "2 inexperienced noons" and "its like a 4 year old with a riffle".
But what ever......,... there is no fliw because somebody posted a link to another forum that was about a completely different trail and subject,.......... damn you guys are good and this is why there is buzz everywhere about the type of behavior you guys are displaying. So do me a favor pretend there is an "ignore button" and add me to that list.......... or just expect repercussions if you can't.

Orange ape. It started here....,.... The flow was interrupted. This was all because of the flack that has been going on at the climb forum. Some how the modifications that were done to the toughest hill on long island they think I was connected to it. Some how a passive aggressive post was added to twist my nipples. A quick post by stump soon after this post that was put up by RIG was intended to lure me out and admit I was behind the dumbing down of the trail. Which I was not this was all directed at me in a passive aggressive manner on their part hence the flow of my thread was interrupted with intention to make me look bad

Seems that someone posting in this thread has a long history of not getting along with others. I'll leave it at that. I mention this only since I have been provoked and called out a few times.

Not sure what I did to provoke this guy? I posted a few links related to some recent additions to the Mtn. Bike trails on LI. Imagine that...on a thread related to new additions.

    Nothing more.

It's sad, but I'll leave it at that. The bad Karma I do not need.

Maybe he can reread the evolution of the posts and realize he owes me an apology, but I wont hold my breath.

Seems to me there is a few people in my thread. 2 people don't get along with me.
I have the original post from liam where he took attacks at me where the week before we were hanging out at a ride beque at gr. In that situation we actually took a pick together and then the following week from out of the blue he viciously attacked me.
As for you......pal....... You attacked me in the "rock rolling down the hill" thread when I said it "almost seemed like a scene from jackass the movie but it was wrong". At that point you jumped all over me saying it was serious........... But yet a week later joked adout the murdered woman in the woods

I can be as mean and nasty as you both........... But IRL I also can be vicious as you both............I have fallen before and always get up.

Though I believe in conflict resolution and always give that an strong effort as I have attempted with the bod at climb where I was rejected .

I am here in the open making that suggestion for conflict resolution

The ball is in both of your courts........... I sent you a PM

Now tell me,...... Who doesn't get along with others......... I have no issue or problem shutting you out of my life it doesn't work

Thank You for bringing the thread back on topic

When I rode there a week ago the issue was not it being packed down

The trail has some fantastic down hills and fast straights. For me the issue is the way the DH and straights funnel into tight turns with out any flow. Kid of reminds me of setauket. This doesnt suite my style of riding. I prefer fast and flowy like GR where 1 hr lap times are eye watering!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it though

OK a few days has went down. My offer to bury the hatchet has left me with no resp once. What does it show ?
The hard nose stance shows that " they" are not flexible and the ones with the issue and not I.

"They" have issues playing g well with others .

That's what it shows as I suspected........ proof is in the pudding!

    Sorry Ed

Save your energy for other trails. If your at GR by chance one day and you would like to extend the ride. Give it a whirl. As Orange ape said............ I bring my bike every where with me (Its like an American express card.......never leave home without it)

    Given the chance........I ride

I don't like to knock other people's hard work, but that new section is a little boring... AND we got covered in deer ticks over there.
I'll revisit that trail after the ground freezes. I don't need Lyme Disease.

NY....... its not knocking other peoples work. Its constructive critisizm. This is in hopes that trails are built to satisfy all levels of riders. That is the idea. Its a fine line between making a trail safe and fun while making it challenging.
For us on long island we need to take advantage of what we have. This lies in fast flowy single track.

All hard work is appreciated . Back when I was a steward there was critisizm on the way I had trimmed the trails. But in my eyes it was to make it good for everyone and not just one select group of people. This critisizm help me accomplish my goal and was appreciated

    So hopefully this helps

Spardy - Thanks for the new signs. I'm flattered. Where did you put the old ones? We need them back.

Why deface the most popular trail on Long Island? Why go from forum to forum spreading your message of hate?

Why have you been banished form every single bike.org?

I'm only upset the other sign was a triple black and I only got one.

I'll ignore 99% of your crap but when the 1% involves running to a trail before an event I don't frequent, you've pushed your luck.

Do me a favor(s) - Stop ripping down trail signs. Stop claiming to be fast when you register for races and do not appear. Remember DH40 when you bailed? Muddy Tire? Did you even get the t-shirts? If you were any good at any type of trail work you would still be doing the non-"rogue" version.

You seem to thrive on the negative. I'm sure the grammar, spelling, and punctuation will be on the usual 2nd grade level when you post a reply.

Pause a minute and ask yourself - Is stoking hostility and resentment a good way to improve your situation?

I am wondering what this has to do with the topic. Is this your typical trolling looking for trouble? I can not help if people do not like you and post stuff in a trail. I do not care what you think. You only respond when there is controversy . Let's talk about grammar ........ It's SPARTY with a T now stop causing trouble and go away........ And if you want to ride with me to see my speed..... I will be at GR Saturday and will offer you a 10 min head start...and if I may add. I do not want to improve my "Situation" I want no part of your community. It is broken and very few get along

I don't think I'd travel with my bike everywhere either. Only way for me to transport it is on the bike rack and I don't trust people if I had to leave it on the rack unattended. I'd return home without a bike in no time.

Usually I have my bike on a hitch carrier, but from time to time I remove the front wheel and stow it in my trunk leaving the Hitch carrier on the car. Shoes, Helmet, and a change of close are always in the trunk. Each day leads me somewhere different and being prepared is the key.

I know you are going see this here.........Your harassment with me here has escalated to you sending PMs to my Girlfriend at the climb forum.

Do you want my mommy's Phone number so you can call here too?

I suggest that over your next stout that you sit and think about what level you will stoop to before you relize we are all working for the same goal......... but in the end I guess the way you view it is...... its all about who shovels the dirt better!

Finally, got to ride this trail over the weekend....

What an amazing trail and an awesome addition to the existing trail network here on Long Island.

Thanks to everyone involved in bringing this new trail to Fruition.

    I think it's name is Overton ?

    Another masterpiece thanks to CLIMB.
