Cycling advice needed for road trip to CT & NY

I'm taking a road trip to Lime Rock Park Labor Day weekend and Watkins Glen the following weekend to compete in Vintage Sports Car races. I'll have a couple of days in each area to kill and plan to bring a bicycle to tour the areas. I have a road bike and a mountain bike. Which would you recommend I bring, and how would you spend 2 extra days in NW CT and 1 extra day in upstate NY? In advance, thanks for the feedback.

I would bring the MTB if I could only bring one. Ithaca and Ellicottville have some great trails and breweries nearby. I think that area of NY has some wineries and roads too....

Bring your mountain bike. Some of my favorite trails in NY are close to both locations.

Shindagin is pretty epic and fairly close to Watkins Glen. Great food and beer in Ithaca as well, try the flower power ipa from Ithaca Brewery. Some great road riding up that way as well.

If you want someone to suggest a road bike, you came to the wrong place. LOL.

I can't speak for Watkins Glen, other than having heard good things about Shindagin.

You may want to post in the CT forum for Lime Rock Park. But...its only about 35 miles from a place called "909" or Taconic-Hereford State Park. Its in NY off the Taconic State Parkway. I've been there several times and liked it each time. I am by know means an expert on the place. Its over an hour drive for me but I've been drawn back multiple times.

Here is a link to some info on fatsinthecats website.

Also, here is a link to a thread here on MTBR that has a good map.

There are a few good places closer to Lime Rock and two of those that are really good. Look up some of scrublovers posts and pm me for deets on the spot I ride regularly.
