Corning, New York
I'm considering moving to the Corning area. How is the mountain biking around Corning? If not so great, what is closest place with good trails?
Thanks in advance.
Pretty good, depending on what you like to ride. I'll PM you with some more details. You can also check the site http://cycle-cnyforums.com for more info on riding in central NY.
I'd love to hear about some of the places you know about. I'm from that area, and I'm looking for some rides around there.
FYI, that link you posted is busted.
I have traveled up from Pa many times...
...to ride with the CNJ crew. Great group of riders with some pretty cool ride places!
Any chance you remember where those places are?

Ya, if you go on the CNY site they have a list of all the places they help and ride at with directions and maps.
I have been to Chenango, Oakley, Shindagin...

Shindagin is top notch  But if you're visiting family for Thanksgiving, keep in mind that it's also the middle of hunting season.

Im trying to upload a PDF map of the trails, but its not working for me. Looks like the file is too large.
First welcome to MTBR, and thanks for your addition of info in your first post. If your trying to upload it to here on MTBR I think you need more "posts" before you can upload...
Some stuff has changed since we went through a lot of spam attacks, I might be wrong, but gotta go look in the forum rules...LOL
