Anyone need a fourth at the 24 hours of Allamuchy?
I planned to do the 24 hours of Allamuchy on a tandem with my daughter but she needs to back out. (What was I thinking anyways?). I want to join a team looking for a fourth and needs an old guy to fill out the team. I'm a 40 year old, middle of the pack sport rider who has done several endurance races in the past.
Why don't you just race solo?
That way, you ride a lap when you want to, not when your teammate comes in.
It takes a lotta pressure off.
My riding buddies and I have been doing just that for the last couple of years.
We go out and do group rides.
Just a suggestion.

I'm considering it
I haven't ruled out doing it solo but I also know the way I am. I'll end up pushing myself too hard trying to compete with people I have no right trying to compete with and it will ruin my fun. Then again, I love riding Allamuchy. I'll also keep an eye on the weather. If it looks like a rainy, mudfest, I may pass - I've done that before as a solo when the 24 Hours of Adrenalin use to run up at Mountain Creek. I'm getting less adventuresome in my old age.
Glad to hear the Bianchi is still working well for you. Are you doing Allamuchy solo?
