XC Race Category
So, I've had a decade long hiatus from XC racing, but plan on doing the entire NMORS.
I've only done a dozen races, evah, all back when my category was Expert.
The thing is, I won half of those races. I thought I'd end my racing career on a high note, when I won the King of the Mountain overall at Sandia, but I've decide to come back from retirement
The other thing is, I only ride singlespeed.
So, Cat 1 against geared riders close to my own age (I'm 40, so the youngest person in my class) or Singlespeed class?
It's a big fish/small pond kinda scenario.
I think I'm going to go Cat 1 at Cloudcroft (can't do El Paso due to a scheduling conflict), just to see how things go. I do like the longer races.
Am I a retard?
why not ss class? its an 'open' category.

Umm do some math if your cat 1 you have to buy a 60 dollar anuall licence i think its 60. If your single speed you can pay 10 bucks a race extra but still have the option of buying a licence should you choose... i wouldnt let the fact fact your on a SS and at a disadvantage keep you from conpeating against the best... but the SS cat has some badass riders in it also.. sooooo after not much thought id say race SS the compition may even be tougher which is never a bad thing
