I think the light dusting would only make things a little more interesting, and the colder temps pretty much guarantees there will be no muck.

Not going to WM tomorrow, but may Sunday.

We could use some North Valley Bike Park pix in the NM Trails thread.

I too haven't been there, yet.

Not a good idea to publicize the moonscape as it is in private land.

+1...But if I was going to ride there, I would wait until Super Bowl Sunday. I have been told that the mine has always been shutdown and deserted on SBS. :D

    Both Directions, Just as fun
We got two laps in, one in each direction. Fortunately the wind was blowing us uphill each way :D. The two laps earned us a great meal at Los Ojos on the way back. LA Peeps: The Los Ojos owner just bought The Bandelier Grill in White Rock and should have it up to good speed by the end of February

The Springs were ice covered and incredibly beautiful:

Those ice flows make a good case for studded tyres on your new fat bike nate. :)

Very cool looking from the power line mesa into the canyon; ice, snow on the north facing slopes and gypsum on the south facing. Casual observation might not reveal the difference. Rode it yesterday and my kid wanted to ride today so we went again. Find something new every time. Colors change with the weather, new lines reveal themselves, where does that spur go? Can you get out the end of the canyon? You can if you follow Ray. Always an adventure.

Since the subject was brought up earlier, a couple vids from the end of the DB, two slightly different lines:

Thanks for that. I wasn't sure that line could be rolled.
Now I know and just need to HTFU.

Now that I've done it a handful of times it feels pretty easy, and stopping is no prob at all - love disc brakes. I was hardly leaning back. I want to work on going faster and faster. Someone post up and show me how it's done!

    you chose a trainer session?!?!

(Look who dropped in!) Yeah, well I'm not married to a Canadian nor do I live there, so I don't have to be tough. Come visit, and we'll ride rain or shine. Or meet me in Moab. Bring the family!

I'm married to a 'Merican, but we live in BC. We hit Moab last year for a few weeks, don't expect to make it back this year, but you should bring the family to ride in BC before we head for a less rainy climate (which we talk about frequently).

btw, if I were to visit LA (and I'd really like to come back and ride LA again), I would hate to have to ride in the rain. I do that plenty already, I try to plan my trips for maximum sunshine..

Does anyone want to venture a guess about WM conditions after this round of weather? Better yet, any real info? I was thinking about doing a lap out there maņana.
