    What's your MTB related New Year's Resolution(s)?
New bike? Epic rides? Learn moar skills? Drink more beer?

Mine is to ride the Placitas trails and maybe get to Moab this year!

    What's yours?

Move to ABQ... Shuttles on Sandia... Move up to Cat 1 DH at the end of 2013(assuming there's going to be races) ... More pedal-powered riding (as opposed to gravity)...

Thanks - I often admire the photo dumps from your various rides. Think I've seen a couple of those names pop up in "The Rider's Eye" from time to time too

Thank you. It is a great place to visit, but I'll be happy to be in a city environment again ;)

    My 2013 bike goals:

    Ride more often
    Ride harder
    Ride longer
Get fit to put in some "epic" all day rides
    Eat better (pretty much vegan)
Use a ride/fitness tracker. I made an excell sheet and just did my first entries for today's ride

Get a new bike hauler - looking at the new Subaru Outback wagon. If I take off the front wheel and take out the seat+post, I should be able to get two bikes, two riders and gear inside the vehicle. My bikes ride inside; just like my dogs.

    Visit and ride Durango :-)

    Happy 2013!

If you have a smart phone try using Strava. Yeah you can use it to compete with folks but it is great for tracking all your rides/hikes/skiing... Break things down by month/year, hours, distance, # of rides,...

I resolve to remember that being able to ride is a gift and not a competition or exhibition or any type of demonstration of a person's character or value; and I further resolve to remember and acknowledge that the world and all the trails on it are unique, fragile and nothing ever to be taken for granted, damaged or abused; and finally, I hereby resolve to remember that a seemingly endless fascination with electronic gadgetry is an absolutely useless waste of time and energy, and that pretty electronic pictures are nothing compared to having an actual experience in the physical world.
