    Damn Brian Lopes...

Rode that trail (Telonix) at the end of last summer. On DH bikes. Not 1/3 that fast. AND I wore a full face, Leatt, pads and all that. Apparently, it just slowed me down. Yeah, that's it. ;P

Here's an edit a friend put together from all the footage on that day... Watch in HD if you can.

The Danny video. Nothing better than listening to commentators lose their professionalism while on the air.

I think the Devinci video was the most inspiring but listening to the commentators completely loose their bacon on the Danny Hart was the most fun.

Looking at my bikes gets me stoked to ride. I love workin' those little beasties. I am made of 100% pure notawesome but it is still a lot of fun

LOL...Jhazard, we must be close in age. I loved this movie for the bikes but even back then I thought how cheesy is was. We rode but we never wore those kind of outfits. Maybe jeans and an old Godfather's Pizza t-shirt.
    But cool old school.

Those outfits were hard to come by because they were still made here in the good ole USA.

Lol, for sure. We were riding doing the same tricks, but were more jeans and t-shirt types for sure. The movie was completely horrendous, but was cool to see the magazine heroes on the big screen.

I watched it too. Its cool seeing the lines the riders are takeing get progesivly harder as the race goes on..... i would have been disapointed if gee won without taking the gnarly straight line at the bottem.

That straight option was pretty nuts.. I wonder if Gee meant to hit it, but got hung up on something - they showed a clip of him coming unclipped right at the top.

Just riding that course would be insane, can't imagine trying to pin it...

I have been putting off buying a bootleg copy of this on Ebay for a long time now. I actually used to own numerous freestyle bikes back then (I'm 38 now.) I miss those bikes back then. I just started doing Q pipes and half pipes when i got my drivers license and lost interest. I completely regret not sticking with it now. Now i'm wanting to do downhill, but nowhere in Alb to actually do it that i know of.

I just watch parts of on youtube from time to time!

cars were the key to exploring new street spots and new ramps that other people built, lol (and girls, of course). Stayed with it well in to my (late 20's - 45 now). Still can to a couple old school things, but most of it is lost, except the feel for jumps.

Angelfire and Pajarito are not far, and you can rent bikes at Angelfire to give DH a try. You might be surprised how many downhill riders are lurking in ABQ

I've got a 2011 Giant X4 that i would probably use until i get my AC-1 ready to ride. The only thing that sucks is that my Trance is a size Small and it's pretty hard on me trying to ride it. I'd like to trade it off for something in a Medium...probably just an actual hardtail MTB to ride. I'll eventually use my AC-1 for DH.

Bottom of the class. Enduro World Series got off the ground only after Chris Ball and co. decided to do it without the UCI.

In 1972 I had a Kawasaki 175 Enduro. I think Spesh owes them money.

Thought it was pretty cool. Received a lot of hate on PB, but that's PB...

Parts of felt a little "Collective" to me (not a bad thing), also felt a little disjointed. Started out loosely like a documentary, but then seemed to switch to just a recap of the EWS season. Guess I expected more commentary on the history before EWS. Still very pretty to watch, tempts me to ride my trail bike on the DH lines...

..but my dh bike is so much smoother, haha.

I started forwarding through the commentary after awhile - except for the women. I think chicks that're that good at anything are pretty hot, and worth listening to. Elite racer chicks tend toward the attitude that racing is an opportunity to travel and ride their bikes in awesome places with great riders. Racing well affords them that opportunity, as opposed to, trying to see how much money they can make. I think women are also more inclined to view racing as them and the bike against the course and the clock, and the other competitors as a source of motivation, which is the way everyone should approach it, imo, but very often don't. Women on mtb's ... what can I say? A sight to behold.

    Tracey is badass...

Redbull did a series on the Enduro, following Curtis Keene, I think it's equally as good as "The Rise"...
