Just a clarification on the time. We are meeting at the ranger station at 9am. If you want to meet us at Mars Ct, then we'll be there 9:30-45.

It was another awesome day for the Three Bottles Advanced Trail build. About 18-20 people today. There was another 2-way blue line finished and fine tuning of some of the features put in 3 weeks ago, and started on some new goodies. With another good turnout tomorrow some of the more advanced features could get in. So come on out tomorrow and join in the fun.

Yea, a great trail day. Cleaning a nasty trail pails in comparison to building a chunk of one. Thanks to the Department of Agriculture and all you hooligans out there busting rocks. One fellow just moved here from Virginia and was digging before ever setting tire on trail. That's community, my friends.

Great group today. Worked on the submarine rock section. Expanded options, a little different entrance, two drops, two rollers, improved berms.

Thanks to everyone that came out this weekend. It's really taking shape!

Now if we just get some moisture...

Another good day, If you haven't been out to the trail days you're missing out. Its a lot of work but also a lot of fun.

Three bottles is turning into a trail system rather then just a trail with features along the way. The 2 way trails allow riders to double back and session different lines. Me and Skelly tried looping everything and its definitely anaerobic trying to get the 2 way climbs in.

I think one of the cooler things about the trail is the large variety of options. You can ride the same section 6 times and do a different route each time.

Special thanks to Dude, for letting me borrow the banshee prime!!

This guy took an alternate drop line, was cool to see someone push their limits, 3 bottles is already helping people build skills.

No problem. I don't figure you for a 29er guy, but I hope it was good for a test roll anyway. Thanks to all those out there doing good work today. we had a great time riding, the trail is really shaping up. We are already looking forward to the next work day.

Im actually saving up for a fs 29er right now. The next work day will finish the second blueline and the second black, the first black being sub rock. I plan on Riding after each build day is finished. It would be cool to do a big group ride out there.

    Wut? No 27.5 love?

I figured a Pivot Mach 6 w/27.5 would be a killer NM tech trail eating machine.

I stand corrected. Then maybe the prime was just the ride for you.

Rumor has it there was some overnight precipitation in the east mountains. Just what the trail needed to pack down those squishy berms. Can anyone confirm?

We got about an inch of snow up here. Every little bit helps.

Rode the new sections yesterday and it is sweet!

Kudos to all that worked towards making this a fun, technical trail. Lots of opportunity for progression, so it'll be fun for everyone.

It'll be under construction for another 2 years. Phase one will be done this year. But because of the nature of the trail, multiple one way sections accessible by a long 2 way sections, it can be ridden before total completion. Currently there are 3 or 4 brand new fully rideable sections..

    get out and ride it!!

Anybody know if the 3B area got much rain on Saturday afternoon? We rode it Saturday, and some of the transitions and berms were still really soft. It was just starting to rain when we left, I'm hoping there was enough rain to pack it all down.

I hiked in there yesterday to check it out. Still pretty dry. We need a really good rain to do much. I like the new drop at sub rock. Hey Kerry. From where the new turn into sub rock would be also the perfect plact to turn into the advanced line I flaged with you last year with a nice drop and two rollers in a row. The first drop is just to the right about 20 yards. Take a look when your out there again. Theres one tree to cut at the bottom of the roller.

I want to throw a reminder. This Sat and Sunday the 17thand 18th are the next Three Bottles Advenced trail work days. The basic trails are pretty much in and a little of the advanced lines are in. Time to get down to the really good stuff. The real meat of the build. We could use all the help we can get for this part of the build. Plus with the lack of any real rain, we need to get as much done as we can befor that dirty C word comes up. So make your pland now to be part of this awesome build. See you Sat and Sunday.

Ok Pat, I'm going to need a doctors note. The Healing process is slower than I would like. But going well. Defnitally takes longer the older you get. Did get the ok to pedal around on roads. A little trail work will do me good.

It was a really good day at the 3-B build. Lots of rock work went into a good size drop and big burm blow it. A couple other nice features and another Black Diamond line is complete and ready to hit. Then got a line cut into a giant Double Red Diamond huge roller. Tomorrow we will finish the roller and into a very rocky skills area. Going to be fun. If you've got time, come on out tomorrow. We could use an extra hand.

Also finished the line to the big roller. The first Double Diamond Trail! Get ready to pucker up for that one. Started into a cool rocky area that will test all your skills. It will be finished on the next work weekend next month along with more technical lines. You still have time to get in on this awesome build. Super big thankyou to everyone that came out this weekend. Everyone worked their butts off and got some real quality work done. Thanks AGAIN to the Greenside Cafe for those awesome burritos. Killer!

Its really turning into a cool session spot. A true a la carte menu of technical riding It doesn't get mentioned as much but the uphill lines are all fairly hard, lung busters.

I got out to check the conditions at 3-B today. The road from Mars Ct. was a bit on the muddy side on the way in but was good on the way out. All the rain over the last three days has done the trail good. All the rockwork looks great. Everything just needs to get some bikes on it and pack it in. Didn't see any other tracks on it.

Hugs and Kisses to everyone who has put sweat equity into this project. We sesh'd the whole thing today over&over, over&over, over&over, over&over...you get the point. It should be good and packed now! I managed to find a few options that I think might have been unintentional, but they worked out really well and at least one of them left my britches a little soggy. lol

I was noticing that the new Cajun Pine reroute from last year swings real close to where the new work has commenced. Any plans on making a connector in the future? Just a quick glance at it reveals quite a few boulder options that would tie in very well with the existing features. It would also eliminate flatland slog to the official entrance. Personally, I would not miss much of first half of three bottles given the success of this project.

Anyway, thanks again to all that have helped out so far, and to those who plan an volunteering in the future. These kinds of trails don't build themselves.

Got out there today, much better conditions than 2 weeks ago. Rain must have helped a lot. I guess Lost Dave beat me to it but the small drop is indeed hardtail friendly. I might have been psyched out a bit by seeing it prior to the dirt fill but it ended up being completely uneventful. I'm not complaining though. Not sure of the double red diamond drop/roller though. I pretty much said 'no way in hell' while looking down at it. Looking at the pictures makes me feel like a wuss; it looks like I could roller skate down it.

A friend of mine was wondering if this weekend's trail days will be focused on 3 Bottles or elsewhere?

I'm pretty sure that the Nat Trails Day on June 7th work will be on the Dead Man Connector. And then Back to Three Bottles in July. Kerry will probably post some info on this Sat. work.

Yep, we'll be working on the connector trail this weekend (sat only) then back to 3 Bottles. It's too much logistics for a bigger event with non-regulars. The connected will be a great addition.

If you're interested, we'll start at 9am at the old Deadman campground just south of Pine Flat on the east side.

Dang it was great to get out on some trail again. My first real ride in 2 1/2 months. Been just riding up and down the road out of Mars Ct. Just kept it easy for now. None of the real fun stuff. But that's coming. 3-Bottles conditions are great. Can't wait to get back for the next build weekend in July. With the trails out of Mars Ct open again, access to 3-B is much easer. Go get you some.

It's a pretty good booter, but you gotta muscle it a little if you lack the speed.
