    SBT - road 76 condition

Anyone been up to SBT lately? I'm wondering how much of 76 to the trailhead is drivable. Thinking of heading up in the morning to ride it.

I think I'm going to try and start at Elliot Barker and ride that to SBT.

yeah, I'm interested in the condition of this road too. We want to shuttle SBT but the only shuttle service that is currently available wanted $50 a person to drop us at the trailhead on FR76. Seems a little steep, so we are thinking of taking two vehicles and shuttling ourselves.

You can get up it as long as you have clearance. It didn't look that bad to me.

The shuttle is quite a bit shorter - and the ride is longer - if you use FR 70 instead of 76.

+1 on using FR70. You can drive up pretty far if you want to avoid a lot of the grind up from the bottom and you avoid the shuttle loop around to Angel Fire to hook FS76.
