    santa fe

I'll be in Santa Fe for the first time next week, work related. I'm tied up with work from 7:30am until 5:30 pm, staying downtown. I want to bring the mtn bike, but with such little time can i get to worthwhile trails and get a good ride in before dark? Or should I just bring the road bike and head up to the ski resort? thanks

Bring the MTB. You can get to some good riding within 10-15 minutes of downtown SF.

Dale Ball trails via Upper Canyon or Artist (Hyde Park) Roads or Chimaza/Winsor trails via Hyde Park Road are worth checking out. Lots more off Chamiza/Winsor if you have time.

When you find yourself on the side of the majority it's time to pause and reflect.

Definitely mtn bike. In addition to the Dale Ball trails, you're only 15 minutes from the La Tierra Torture race course and trails. race course info

Excellent. Thanks. MTB it is. Do the trails handle rain ok? Any to avoid in particular if it rains? Thanks
