Just what you've been waiting for right? Well, wait no longer as the Sandia Ranger District has something for you to do this coming summer (in addition to riding your bike).
Trail work dates are as follows:
June 1 (National Trails Day)
July 13 & 14
August 17 & 18
September 28 (National Public Lands Day)
October 19 & 20
At this point, we don't have projects lined up for every date but they're in the works. Some of the projects may include (but not limited to):
- Minor work on Blue Ribbon and West Ridge
- New trail connecting David Canyon with Oak Flats
- Designation and extension of Three Bottles
[*}Designation and work on West Boundary Trail
- New trail connecting new Oak Flats Trailhead with Mahogany Trail
On a related note, we'll have a scoping letter out in the next week or so on some of these projects so be on the lookout if you'd like to submit comment.
Hope to see folks out this summer in continuing to support our work on Sandia.
