    REM stoke

Ive only done it twice but, REM is a must ride if you live in new mexico. Hopefully Calhoun will send me the numbers so i can know the total feet of climbing & descending. There's a lot of each.

I didnt see a REM stoke thread so i figured id start one. The ride is way to big for a video and it has endless views and scenery. So i imagine lots of people have some bad ass pics floating around..

On top of it being a trail that has brutal climbs descents and even hike a bikes. It even has some cool free ride features.

So if you never rode it get out there and do it and if you have post the pics and videos here.

Too bad you guys missed Raven's Ridge while you were here. I bet Rob would have loved the 2k fire road climb on that DH bike.

What are the directions to ride REM? I have heard the trail mentioned here and by others but no one has been able to provide me directions.

Directions are hard to give. If you use hiker internet info, you'll find it easier. Check out those websites for better directions.

Switchbacks cleared, except the last one,had to step down and adjust the bike. Maybe next time.
I was there alone and did not want to push the luck and get hurt, because missing Moab would be very bad

That looks like a great ride! I keep saying I've got to get back down to ABQ and Santa Fe for a few days to ride. Maybe next year I'll make it happen.

    REM looks sweet.

Will be in town next week considering moving from SLC next summer to Santa Fe and would love to hook this ride up on Wednesday or Tuesday. My wife and I plan to session Angelfire Saturday; however, she flies out Monday evening. I will have 6" and DH bike and 4by rack on truck for shuttling. REM looks dressed to kill with a 6" bike.... DH probably overkill? How much climbing? I wanna rip the downs and not slow anyone down on the up slog.

    Anyone in?

    NM looks fun
    thx

PS unless there is another more *****in' shuttled DH/enduro ride someone wants to do with me, but REM looks the best so far.

Great edit! I need to ride REM again one of these days but it's hard to do shuttles when Angel Fire still has lifts open. Maybe when they close or in the spring..
