    REM conditions

Anyone ran REM in the past couple weeks to see if the snow/ice is all gone off the upper section? Thinking about at Saturday noonish run.

That trail is definitely rideable. There's not enough snow up there to prevent decent riding. I bet you'll only see a couple super small, thin patches of snow at the top. Get that new toy up there & hit that sh!t!

Rode it again yesterday am, no snow at all and no snow left on the REM to 102 connector trail at the bottom of the REM either, but the stream is still completely frozen over and slippery.

Six of us rode it yesterday from the ski lot. About two miles of snow (3" of crusty slush at the top) and ice. Just have to back off here and there. Some stuff is actually easier since the lows are filled in. Totally worth doing!

oh yeah, I had a little help from my "new" bike that let me finally roll the mid-ride boulder and the waterfall. so stoked! Ibis Mojo HD with 170 RC2DH Lyrik, 160 Pushed Vivid coil, 1 degree angleset (65.5 HTA), carbon cranks, 2X10 w/ XT Shadow+ der., carbon bars, new XT brakes (not shown) and a Reverb post (so much better than the Gravity Dropper).

I bought it off someone in Taos and I haven't weighed it. It is not super light given the suspension/tires. Will be a great enduro bike. Regardless, it will be my one bike so it will be pedaled everywhere. I just have to man-up and bike a lot to stay in touch with my light bike buddies on climbs. Probably get a light set of wheels/tires for places like La Tierra. I'll be servicing my '10 Kona Cadabra and selling it soon.
