Just got home from shuttling Rosy, Ramon & James up to REM. The trail had about 2.5 inches of snow on it. Should be an awesome day for those fellas. REM is beautiful in the snow.

19 deg and a fresh 1 1/2in of snow this morn. Burrrrr! Conditions will be great [in a couple days] Should be a good week on the trails.

I went out and rode Tunnel, Blue Ribbon, Otero, and the New Tunnel trail (don't know the name) and it was a blast with snow on the ground. It was a completely different experience. I will say that the new Tunnel Trail came alive with the snow. It really got hard and packed and you could really attack it.

Everything needed this moisture so bad. It was getting super dusty. It never got over 30 deg. up here yesterday so the new trail was prob. frozen. and not really packed in. Now with warmer temps this week it should firm up sweet. Won't be long before we get chased out of the Mtns. for the winter. Get it while you can.

Conditions now are better than ever. Cool weather is keeping it from drying out to quick. Should stay good for a while now.

Is the new section (at Tunnel) better enjoyed as a ride up or down?

Down for me so far. It's a good blow on the way up, with some bigger step ups. On the way down tho- what a hoot. Best you check it both ways give us a report

Its good both directions. If you enjoy a good climb for a few miles, its got it, pretty much climbs straight up the entire way. It will be a real sufferfest on an SS tho, doable but ouch. The downhill has pretty good flow and as the berms get packed in it should really become quite fast. It's a nice trail.
