    Northeast ABQ trails?

I'm coming down from Denver over Thanksgiving to visit the in-laws, and so I wanted to get away a couple times to ride for a few hours. My in-laws live in Sandia Heights and I know the Foothills trail system is relatively close.... is that worth riding, or is there something else within a 20-min drive that would be better that time of year?

    Mo Betta!

There's better stuff to be had 3-5 miles down S14 @ the Tijeras exit.

Check Rich's site (www.cyclingtrek.org) out for directions and other areas to ride.

Mtn. Biker123 is referring to Cedro and Otero. They might be snowed in by late November but if not, they're always good as a NM intro.

I'm pretty spoiled here in CO too.... but honestly, I would just want to get out for a couple hours and spin the wheels. It doesn't have to be epic.

I'll post up when it gets closer to T-day to see if anyone wants to meet up. Thanks....

    Points for smmokan:
    • pretend nobody gave you advice as to how long a NM ride is.
    • It's NEW Mexico - that means not only Manyana, but new manyana
    • Let someone else drive you to the trail head. Leave the lying to locals (f-ng ass said it was a three hour tour, a three hour tour...)
    • Since we're so close to AZ, we really don't know if we should use MDT or PDT. Again, leave the lying to a local (f-ng asshat had his clock set for MST/PST/MDT/PDT/GMT-7).
    • Practice being pissed at NM's. They're all idiots and morans anyways. They'll also drink all your beer.

    One More...

    • Blame everyone in Abq because your stuff got stolen from the KOA on Central (even after the us lying asshats warned against it)

LOL...I still feel bad for suggesting that one. I kicked myself for weeks not telling him to pack some heat and don't leave his shite out without a couple of dobermans patrolling his camp.

Well, if I'm only riding the Foothills trails I can ride to the TH... so I'll be sure to leave this off the list.

As for the others- well, I'll see if I can remember those in a couple months. Thanks.
