Valles Caldera loop on fat bike

Always wanted to check this place out..."trails" are all old ranch road two track, as shown here, but devoid of cars/motorcycles/atvs, with large views of a unique area. Got a bunch more photos here: Fat Biking the Volcano...Bike Hiking part 2! (pic heavy)

    Keeping the stoke high

Here some more pics from this summer: keep that stoke high NM! With these recent rains, I hope our trails are little less dusty....

Maybe not as dynamic as a view over ABQ, but still one my favorite places to stop and look.

I've ridden a bike up there, there is somewhat of a trail worn in along the ridge that is rideable from the cabin across and down to the top of Lift 6 (steep, technical and fun), then from there there are several mountain roads to cruise down, some steep and loose ~ make sure your brakes are in tune. Nice pic.

I spent about 4 hours out there exploring just about every option I could find, probably totaling about 15 miles. I did all the loops twice. On some of those sections it was on accident...the trail literally disappeared. Pure ZEN.
