 Name Suggestions for Kerry's new trail
With the awesome new trail open at Tunnel Canyon we now have the difficult job naming it! A few names have popped up. Birdhouse, Kerry's Bone, daBone. Not bad, but having spent many many work days building the trail I'd like to see a name that captures the character of the trail and at the same time is cool. I have a few suggestions and want to hear any that others have.
1. Eagles Nest
To me the top part of the trail reminds me of a giant eagles nest and with a view to match. It also ties back to the Birdhouse name and the trail is pretty fierce.
2. Crows Nest
Like #1 but more down to earth 
3. Look Out
When you say it, it means the top of the trail with the great views. When you read it, it means you better look out, this trail can kick your butt! Of the 3 I am partial to this one.
Let everyone know if you like any of these or you have any ones to add. BTW I am in no way claiming to be the one to officially decide the name

Lets not call it da bone... or "Da" anything.... also "kerry's bone" is quite possibly the worst name in all gods creation.

How bout. just look out. naming things after people that arent dead is weird.

So I am guessing "da Fuglio" is out of the question then? It does have a nice ring to it.

We can call it fuglio's bone. Just dont ride it too hard... or in the mud 
Not that i have any special say in it. BUT birdhouse is what i heard it called first by kerry. He did say it was just a suggestion though.
My original idea would be tunnel nuevo. If you can even call that original.
Lookout suits the trail.
Birdhouse is my vote

How bout naming it in honor of the squirrel that lost its life sunday under my tire. Suicide squirrel trail. Poor little feller.

I'm sticking with Birdhouse, but the trail will name itself. They always do.

Karma to Burn
even though it is a band name.
(the burned area at the top pops those words into my oxygen deprived brain)

Turn-n-Burn Works both ways. Bottom up, Turn-n-Burn your legs. Top down, Turn-into the Burn area and then burn up the trail on the way down.

I think we have a winner. Turn and Burn definitely fits. Now to convince the powers that be.....

Its too late. An order was all ready put in for "Royal Dutch Signage" for three hundred and eighty seven premium chester-field wooded signs. They are to read "Birdhouse".

Of course I like my Look Out suggestion But, I think I like Turn n Burn better. Calling it Birdhouse doesn't truly recognize all the blood sweat and tears that went into building this trail.

I don't really consider my vote having any more weight than the next person. But figure I'll offer my opinion. First, I'm not a big fan of "Turn and Burn" I understand the idea but I'm partial to names that aren't so flashy I guess. I do like the idea that the name would reflect the location and/or some aspect of the trail. Therefore I'll put my vote in for "Lookout" or maybe "Lookout Ridge" or "Birdhouse Ridge," I dunno....
Like I said in another thread, it'll be a while until we get the sign materials so there's some time to hash it out. Either way, I hope whatever name is decided upon, it's acceptable to everyone and especially folks who helped build it.
Anyone know how to set up a poll? Maybe we can do it that way...

If you ask me, your vote on the name should carry more weight. As well as all those that worked their butts off building it. You and those that worked on it should get to name it. Its a great addition for us out here. Thanks! Pick a good one.
