    MTBNate Memorial White Mesa Ride

OK, he's not dead but rumor has it Nate is moving to Germany in a couple weeks, so I'm claiming poetic license for the 'memorial' thing. How about a farewell White Mesa Ride this Saturday at 10:00? Still have your bike or did you trade it for one of those folding things you can take on a train?

Sure, I need to get in all the NM vistas I can before heading over to southern Germany where I am sure my eyes will hurt for months from all the GREEN.

I'll coordinate with Ray for ride out to WM - since my truck is somewhere in the mid-Atlantic at the moment.

Hoping to be hitting this shite come summer since I'll be within a hop-skip-&-a-jump from the Alps..

Hell, I'll even bring a (almost full) bottle of Patron in case some Bando's show up - I can't ship it overseas, so it needs to be appreciated properly.

Where you gonna be in Germany? Sounds like either Bayern or Baden. There's some great riding there, especially near Allgaeu.

Have fun Nate, as a Bando I think I am allergic to White Mesa.

A bit further north. I'm used to thinking in southwestern US terms of distance.

High desert cycles on paseo usually has half a dozen or so empty boxes sitting out behind their shop. I'm sure they would give them to you.

Arrived Deutschland Mon morn - had a few beers but the weather (aptly named wetter in German) has been cloudy with lots of rain. That's ok since I won't see my bikes until sometime at the end of May.

First beer in Germany- graciously supplied by my landlady:

    Hefeweizen at a Biergarten:

Looked at a country rental villa that's within my housing budget. As you can see it's a lot like New Mexico here, with the exception of the rain, greenery, meadows, flowers, gray skies, and more greenery.

Peeps who've driven in Germany will appreciate this one:

Things would be a lot better if my bikes would get here and the freekin rain would stop . We did manage to get a ride in on the one (1) sunny Saturday we've had:

Saturday Ride Passion... or maybe "Beer" passion would be a better descriptor?
