Bonking ... not feelin' well Healing Words for the knob

So, on the way home from WM I got a phone call from the knob. He mumbled something about getting into a head-on collision. RCC and I whipped around and rushed back to the scene. It wasn't good.

Anyway, he seemed OK so we loaded his bike and rack because it was obvious that the car was not going to make it out of the wrecking yard. We made sure phone calls were made and that his wife and emergency services were on the way...again, he seemed OK. I just got off of the phone and he IS in the hospital with multiple fractures. Looking at a few months for recovery. I say he's lucky. The crash scene could have told a much different story.

    Heal soon, buddy

Bummer on the news - but glad to hear that you are alive! Get well, enjoy the downtime with fermented beverages, and come back burning big rubber when your body says so. You tested your luck and won - not many others can say that in the similar circumstances. Don't be disappointed in your situation- be happy in the final result. We are all damn glad you survived this.

You have no idea how hard it is to pour a beer with just one hand.

Yes, I declined the good pills.

I get a bunch of foam if I don't get the glass close enough. And the ale tap requires me to hold the tap handle.

I was going to brew on Sunday and that never happened. I might hit someone up to do a brew session since the ingredients are just sitting around. Pretty sure I can't do it from a wheelchair with one hand.

p.m. or call if your interested and I'll split the 10 gallon batch.

Here are a few from this mornings ride with Supra and shile. shile took off before all of the real fun started, but he was there for my date with the cactus. Me and that cactus became very intimate, but alas my camera is jacked and the only one who knows how to operated it is me... ....and I was a little busy

Hey Bruce, get well soon. You can put a positive twist on and think of it like this...You get to relax for several months, have people brew and pour you beer, get dinner made each night, probably don't have to work for awhile and everyone including your wife feel sorry for you.

BMANN, that cactus was great and the pics after I left of you two are good too. For those that don't like Bryan, this would've been the perfect cactus pain photo for your Desktop wallpaper. Let's ride NFH and see what you can fall on next. I'll bring my camera so we can get some pics this time.

    Other points of view???

Damn Andy... You don't give him no slack do you?

Well here is something else to think about. When I am injured it does suck but I looked forward to people posting pics from that day. It was cool to see the pics and know maybe not that day but soon you will be out riding again. It was a way to live through others I guess, well for me at least.

So maybe MtnBiker123 was giving Bruce a riding stoke from today so Bruce could live through us for a few mins. Also Bruce can app those spots since he has done them or tired them in the past.

I am not sure but I think Bryan was giving Bruce a teaser as well to see if he bit or caught on. We call Bruce the cactus magnet because he seems to find them fairly easy. Bryan took his own cacti dive today. I am sure he could have done without it but yes it happens to us all from time to time

Only pic I got of it but I know Bruce will enjoy this (well since this is a Bruce thread and all). Its from a BB (PDA) so excuse the pic qty. I think Bryan is still yelling at Steve for being in the way. After Bryan got the most of the cacti out he did clean that section it was cool to see. I tried twice and gave up, to out of shape for that crap, is there a shuttle?

Well guess Bryan took the Bad Ass Climb a bit to literal judging from the pic. Facial expression is almost as priceless as another post cacti pic if I recall.
